What is awakening?

Ok, I have been asked this on multiply occations and altough I've gone though it this may be one of the hardest things to describe. I'll try to explain first then I will give a quote from Sangi my ever incredible researcher she herself is a vampire and out of the want to help peolple has compiled a whole site of research and helpful tips. Well anyway on with the description. It is a thing that happens in your teens. You become a vampire through it. You cannot be "turned" but instead are born to it with no choice in the matter. The awakening is your "vampire" coming out of the depths of your soul. The traits of a vampire start to emerge. This is Sangi's explaination:"The physical and mental changes that occur when someone awakens to their latent vampire nature. The awakening typically occurs during or shortly after the onset of puberty, but in some individuals may take years to manifest. Those undergoing the awakening, undergo various mental and physical changes. These changes often include an increased sensitivity to light and particularly to sunlight, a growing affinity for night and darkness, switching from a diurnal to a nocturnal to a diurnal sleeping schedule, and experiencing the first symptoms of the thirst. Many experience acute feelings of isolation and alienation during this process, as their changing nature distances them increasingly from their "normal" family and friends."(Terminology,2004)

What is chi?

Chi is the name for a persons "life-force". It is like your spirtual energy. The chisesne believe this flows all around us and though everything. Corny as it sounds its like in "Star Wars" although a little lesss dramatic, and no darth vader either. This is a concept that just about every race and culture has hinted on. Sangi says this about chi " Chi is the bio-electrical energy which runs our bodies on a subtle level."(Terminology, 2004) I think this quote just about sums up what chi is.

What is a Psi-vamp?

"Someone who "drains" life-energy (prana, chi, life-force, whatever) rather than blood from others. Psi-vampires may or may not consume blood as a means of extracting pranic energy. "(Terminology, 2004)
